Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your Favor Expeditions representative. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel or lodge in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

After check-in, relax and unwind from your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the town, visit a local coffee plantation, or simply enjoy the lodge’s lush gardens and views of Mount Meru.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro (2 Nights)

After breakfast, meet your private safari guide and begin your adventure! Drive through the Great Rift Valley toward your chosen park.

  • Option 1 – Tarangire National Park: Known for its mighty baobab trees and vast elephant herds, Tarangire offers an incredible introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest.

  • Option 2 – Lake Manyara National Park: Famous for its flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and vibrant landscapes, this small but biodiverse park sits beneath the Rift Valley escarpment.
  • Option 3 – Ngorongoro Highlands: Drive up to the cool highlands surrounding Ngorongoro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy breathtaking crater views.

Day 3: Full-Day Exploration – Tarangire / Manyara / Ngorongoro Crater

Spend the day exploring your chosen park or the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

  • Ngorongoro Crater: Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to nearly every species of East African wildlife—including rhinos, lions, elephants, and flamingos.
  • Tarangire / Manyara: Enjoy a full day of game viewing and photography with your expert guide. Watch elephants at watering holes, spot hippos in the lake, and enjoy picnic lunch amidst nature.

Return to your lodge for a sundowner drink, followed by a delicious dinner under the African stars.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destination. Enjoy scenic views en route as you pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands and Maasai villages.

Arrive in the Serengeti by midday, with game drives along the way. Depending on the season and your lodging location, you may stay in Central (Seronera), Grumeti, Lamai, or Northern Serengeti.

Enjoy your first evening in the Serengeti surrounded by the calls of the wild.

Day 5–6: Full Days in Serengeti National Park

Spend two incredible days exploring the Serengeti’s endless plains. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, where over two million animals cross the plains in search of greener pastures.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with picnic lunches or full-day safaris. Look for the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and countless bird species.

Optional activities include:

  • Visit to a local Maasai community

Day 7: Serengeti – Arusha (Flight or Drive) – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive before transferring to the nearest airstrip for a scheduled flight to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, a day room can be arranged in Arusha for relaxation before your international flight home.

Optional Extension:
Add 3–4 days in Zanzibar or Mafia Island for a relaxing beach holiday after your safari adventure.
